The Bradford Bypass Extension
|
The $7 million Bradford Bypass Extension project involved construction of about one mile of two-lane highway to link the four-lane Bradford Bypass and the two-lane Route 219 to the south. The goal
was to create a smoother transition between these highways, to reduce congestion and to improve the safety of movement from Owens Way onto the bypass. About 10,000 vehicles travel the Route 219 Bradford Bypass each day.
Work got underway in July 2002 and was completed in October 2003. See the News &
Events page for more information and a detailed project map.
